Progia® Medical Partners with IndiAide to Expand Objective Dysphagia Rehabilitation Through Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)
Strategic alliance bridges clinic-to-home swallowing care by combining Progia’s multi-sensor visual biofeedback systems with IndiAide’s specialized RTM digital health platform.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. & FISHERS, Ind. — October 19, 2026 — Progia® Medical Inc., developer of data-driven biofeedback technologies for swallowing disorders, and IndiAide Inc., a research-backed Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) platform built for speech-language pathology (SLP) practice, today announced a strategic partnership to expand objective, connected dysphagia care across outpatient clinics and home rehabilitation environments.
The collaboration bridges the traditional gap between in-clinic therapy and unmonitored home recovery. By pairing Progia’s Swallow Therapy System (STS™)—which utilizes a proprietary multi-sensor array to provide real-time visual biofeedback—with IndiAide’s RTM software ecosystem, treating clinicians can now seamlessly monitor patient exercise adherence, capture between-session data, and bill compliant RTM codes, transforming home dysphagia recovery into a continuous, reimbursable care pathway.
Transforming Dysphagia Care from Clinic to Home
Dysphagia affects more than 10 million Americans, frequently arising from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), cancer, ALS, Parkinson’s disease (PD), and age-related neuromuscular deconditioning. Historically, home-exercise programs have relied on paper handouts, leaving speech-language pathologists with subjective guesswork and patients with low exercise completion.
Progia’s technology, developed from clinical research at the University of Wisconsin and optimized in partnership with the Madison VA Hospital, replaces guesswork with an active swallowing therapy. Under Progia’s “hub-and-spoke” model, clinical hubs place hardware for in-clinic progressive resistive exercise, while patients continue the therapy between visits using modular home units.
Through this partnership, clinicians using Progia’s clinical and home systems can leverage IndiAide’s digital infrastructure to track between-visit swallow protocols, collect patient-reported metrics, and satisfy compliance requirements for Remote Therapeutic Monitoring reimbursement.
Executive Commentary
"At Progia, our mission is to move clinicians and patients away from subjective estimation and toward objective, data-backed recovery," said Ross Dunbar, CEO & Co-Founder of Progia Medical. "Partnering with IndiAide allows our treating SLPs to maintain complete digital visibility into patient therapy after discharge, ensuring consistent clinical outcomes while empowering outpatient practices with sustainable economics."
"Speech-language pathologists dedicate significant time to ensuring patients make progress between appointments, but until recently, practices lacked the specialized digital tools and reimbursement mechanisms to sustain that work," said Alyssa Antcliff, MS, CCC-SLP, Co-Founder and CEO of IndiAide. " Families managing a swallowing disorder are already juggling a lot: watching for signs of aspiration, tracking what's safe to eat, staying on top of exercises, all on their own most of the week. This partnership gives clinicians a way to stay connected to that family throughout the week, enabling a continuum of care between one appointment and the next."
